Yes! I am experiencing the same thing. What has happened? 16.09 was so stable and suddenly this week I am experiencing a boot loop and now this!
I'm glad I saw this. I'm having the same issue and reinstalling the maps is not helping.

I contacted Garmin support for this exact issue. they took my serial number, verified the warranty, and took my email. They will email me when the issue is fixed. ETA to repair is unknown.
