A FR955 with a very old FW 9.11 is supposedly "up to date"

I've just purchased a new white FR955 Solar, opened the box myself. It has version 9.11 and Garmin says it's up to date. Any idea why this might be?

Amazing! Thanks a bunch! Just worked to update my 955 Solar to 15.19. User 7945098 giving better customer support than Garmin!

Interesting. This appears not to be a delta update.

The metadata seems to imply it should only apply to 14.05 or later.

In what way?

Where do you get your knowledge about Garmin firmware? I couldn't find any useful information and I don't think Garmin's gonna share any.

The gupdate.gsp file can be unpacked with unzip. It contains two text files and an encrypted binary file with the updates.

I see nothing wrong with this update bundle, it contains all the necessary updates within and the manifest.xml supports that.

Yes, it have problems.

The activities have disappeared.

You can't find the run and others

UPDATE: I made a reset and after that with this firmware, all went fine.

Who knows, maybe this is one of the reasons they turned the update system off.
