A FR955 with a very old FW 9.11 is supposedly "up to date"

There are a number of posts on the forum the last few days of older FW versions not updating.

I have just received a response from Garmin support:

The update issue is a known issue we are working as hard as possible to resolve.
I have added your information to the case and you should get an email when it is fixed.

Just bought a brand new FR955 Solar directly from Garmin Webshop few days ago. Installed version was 13.23. Garmin Connect and Garmin Express both told me there was no newer Software available for my device. But from this forum I learned that latest non-beta currently should be 15.19 (containing several bugfixes and new features).

So I contacted support via chat yesterday but they had no solution and also it seems they didn't know anything about this issue (at least they didn't say a word about it). Now I found in the forum discussions that several people contacted Garmin support with exactly the same issue already several days ago. It's a shame that the support staff still seems to have no information that this issue exists.

Another update.

I found a firmware file and installed it on my watch. This is v.11.12 - at least a bit newer than the horribly buggy 9.11.
Despite being newer, it still has bugs, for example the backlight still turns on sometimes even though it is disabled everywhere.
If anyone has the latest version, I'd appreciate it if you'd share it (gupdate.gsp file).

TBH, I didn't expect newly purchased watches to require so much hacking))

Can't get the file from this link: the file has been deleted.

Same for me - link is not working, file seems to not exist anymore.

So frustrating that this could be easily solved by providing the update files to end users, but Garmin actively refuses to do so even when they have a framework that supports it. If anyone else has a link to the newest software it would be greatly appreciated.
