Forerunner 955 Golf App - Shot measurement and Auto Shot Detection is not working after latest software update. I tried to manually measure a shot but that does not work either.

    • Recent update 13.22 has increased corrupt data. When walking it now shows I went up 94500 ft over my 4 mile walk IN FLORIDA.

    It would be great if there was some honesty and Garmin just confirmed there was an issue and they were working on a fix. People would be accepting of that - we all love Garmin products, just after some honesty.

    I also want to know if its broken for 100% users or are there some people for whom its working as well?

    Oh, Garmin has confirmed this issue, and said multiple times that they are still working on it. In this thread alone. So if that's all you wan you're all set. :)

    Hassan987 - yeah, I haven't heard anyone who this is working for? But definitely a small sample size. Just going from my friends with Garmin's and those in this site. And of course generally people don't go post things that do work out here. Several of my Garmin friends don't play golf so they would have never known until I asked them to test it.

    My take with the 955 is they have increased the functions to a point where many of them are not strong. Things like Sleep, HRV, EKG, and other such health are done better in other devices and Garmin is catching up. They've also expanded their golf line to sensors and launch monitors and I have a suspicion that has damaged what was once free capabilities. I have no proof of that.  And while I love that Garmin is working hard to improve health metrics (those are impt to me and has me looking at some other watches right now}, in general it seems like it's cost them quality in some of the things they already offered.  I mean let's face it..if you just need a good GPS running watch..there are so many options. Same if you need a good body health watch, or a golf watch, or decent battery life watch. We pay the big bucks because we want them all in one. And it's just not there yet..at least not my 955.

    • Now my GARMIN SOLAR 955 says good job. I am acclimated to altitude 5400 ft. Actually I am 42 ft above sea level in Florida. Come on man.

    I've just sent my screenshot showing that stat tracking is on in golf and I've uploaded the Garmin folder to the Garmin website. Can you please provide us all an update so we know the issue is being addressed? I'm doing my best to stay patient but as more and more time passes I feel I've been ripped off with Garmin advertising functions in a watch that have never worked. It makes me want to return the watch. Please respond, thank you

    Confirmed today shot detection still not working. Please fix such a waste of good watch.
