Anyone have this working with 945? Do button controls work? Specifically can I change volume from earbuds (Doing from watch is hazardous while running)?

It was working just fine for me. Until 5.30, and now it keeps disconnecting during my runs :/
I have definitley discovered how to make this issue turn 'on/off' if you will. Bottom line, any time I have the phone connection enabled on the watch, s&%t happens. However, if my phone blue tooth is disconnected…
Urgh!!
As some may recall I had this problem and it went away completely. It's been at least a couple of months and now it is back with a vengeance.
Generally after 5 minutes music will just stop and…
That sounds like someone who hasn’t bothered to check the issue properly. EDIT - sorry, I misread that as garmin rep!!! Ignore that comment LOL.
As an aside, my recent set had no issues in this regard but the case stopped charging. I exchanged them for a new set yesterday and the right earpiece does not work at all. I’m picking up yet another new set later today.
If I didn’t love these earphones so much I would have gone with a different set by now.
I have also recently had a replacement pair, but it seems I am having the exact same issues with disconnection. I was hopeful after reading a new pair remedied someone's problem.
Agreed, the headphones are great on every other device for me, and great before this issue occured.
I have definitley discovered how to make this issue turn 'on/off' if you will. Bottom line, any time I have the phone connection enabled on the watch, s&%t happens. However, if my phone blue tooth is disconnected and also the watch phone connection and I simply connect the Vistas via the watch music process, all is well. Yes, I can make things revert to music stopping by enabling the phone connection on the watch, even if the phone is 5 miles away!
I tried this last night and actually had some success, no disconnects! Will give it a test on a run today and see how it holds. Thankyou!
i had the same issue with Vista on my 945xt running on new software. I forced downgrade to 5.05, and it fixed the issue.
It didn't work for me. I disconnected the watch phone connection but the earbuds disconnected. I didn't disconnected the bluetooth of the phone because I need it for other things.
I continue to experience the same strange behaviour: some days the earbuds don't disconnect, some days they disconnect. Very strange issue
Yeah, I've only found 100% success with both phone and watch Bluetooth in the OFF position. However, that works for me because running is segregated from all other stuff!
Anyone that issues with Vista's try the new Vista 2's. Curious if anything has changed in the new version.
I just asked about it here https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/vivoactive-3-3-music/257426/vivoactive-not-pairing-with-jaybird-vistas-anymore/1303726#1303726
I don't have my phone nearby, and my watch is not connected to my phone at all, and I still get the disconnection issue.
Vista 2 has the same issue, don't buy that for Garmin watch.
