i can no longer connect my HRM run to the 945. I changed the battery, tried to refind even broke out my back up and tried to connect to no avail.
Is there a known issue here? Or am I the lucky one to figure it out? Or . . .

This is a bug, I can only use my HRMRun ONE time, then need to reboot the watch to connect it again. Firmware 2.50.
So on every run I need to:

I have that problem, too. When I start a run, I start it with the start button and when the GPS signal is found, I go back to clock mode with Back Button and then start the run again. And then the HRM Run will be found immediately. The clock does not have to be restarted.
Oh, this explains why I never encountered that problem with my HRM-run: I use the 945 only for running and power it off after use. So by accident I did what you described :-)
