i can no longer connect my HRM run to the 945. I changed the battery, tried to refind even broke out my back up and tried to connect to no avail.
Is there a known issue here? Or am I the lucky one to figure it out? Or . . .

This is a bug, I can only use my HRMRun ONE time, then need to reboot the watch to connect it again. Firmware 2.50.
So on every run I need to:
- Reboot the watch
- Sync with GC as to have heat acclimatation…

Works fine for me, I always run with the HRM strap and had been getting the "external HR connected" message with the old (old!) HRM strap I was using. I just bought the HRM-Run (the latest, the one with the red sensor) and I don't get that message any longer. The only way I know it was connected is because I can see the additional metrics.
Be nice if there was some sort of indicator next to the heart icon indicating an external source, or a status message that would come up when you cycled through that screen (easier to implement than the former idea)
Do you happen to have any other sensors you can try? A footpod, power meter, tempe, etc? I have had no problems connecting mine.
When I select the Activity (so fx. run or walk)
1. With Wrist HR - there is no "Heart" symbol showing (When you are IN the activity before pressing start - the screen where top line say "Options" on the top line.)
2. With external old HRM-Run - it DOES show the heart symbol on the same screen.
You can also cheat - and "Enable Broadcast on Activity" - then it makes it even easier to make certain - as broadcast of HR ONLY works with Optical Wrist HR - and the Symbol is a Heart with some "wireless" jiggies on the top right. So if that Heart symbol shows with "jiggies" - you are using Wrist HR. If it shows just the Heart - you are using external HR.
I should have mentioned I was trying to connect to a HRM-Tri that had been previously connected and that was the only device I was trying to connect to. My 920XT was connecting to it without issue.
