“No sleep data detected last night”

I have this message a few days ago when my fr 255 was in 20.26, i updated to the latest fw thinking it may solve the problem. But i had the same problem. It records body battery, stress, HR; but when i check sleeping data, it says “No sleep data detected last night”. Anybody has a similar problem solution for this problem?

  • I never have issues with sleep monitoring, and I never sleep over 9 hours.

  • I can confirm that, for the first time since I own the 255 (Spring 2023, iirc), it has missed recording a night on October 3rd, a ~10-hour sleep duration. This is with 20.26 firmware. Previous firmware was able to track every night, regardless of sleep length. Definitely seems to be a regression.

  • All,

Thank you for sharing. Please answer the following so we can further investigate.

    1. Is heart rate data being tracked overnight?
    2. Is your Sleep Window fairly accurate (make sure it's not 1-minute long, for example)?
    3. May I have permission to view your Connect account to see your sleep data?
    4. May I have permission to reach you via email, if necessary?
  • 1) Yes, on all other nights that track correctly I also get an HR graph

    2) Yes, the sleep window is set from 10pm to 6am and hasn't been changed recently

    3) Yes

    4) Yes

  • 1) yes, no change at all about the HR window. It’s tracked perfectly every night.

    2) yes, it’s 11.30pm to 9am, very accurate.

    3) yes

    4) yes

    Thank you!

  • All 4 questions: yes

  • 1. Yes

    2. yes. But sometimes i sleep one hour more or less than schedule

    3. yes.
    4. yes.
Yes to all. I had the same problem again last night. My sleep time was around 9 hours. It may be really related with 9 hours or more sleeping time. Strangely, body battery, heart rate and stress parameters record and change as if sensing i spend sleeping time by sleeping. But sleep data and sleep coach says no sleep detected…

  • I am having the same issue with my week old watch. But maybe even over 8 hours isn’t logging? Nights of 8-9 hours aren’t showing up as detected. They recommend not sleeping in a way blood flow is restricted - and I do curl my hands in when I sleep - but I don’t think that’s consistent all night long. This is a bummer, I really like seeing the score.

  • After update 20.32 I have the same problem. Sleep is not recorded. I kindly ask Garmin to fix this bug.

  • If anyone has not answered my specific questions yet, please do so so I can help get this investigated! Thank you.
