Firmware or Connectivity issue

Hello Garmin Tacx support team,

Since updating my Tacx Neo 2T to firmware version 2.6.0, I’ve been experiencing serious issues:
- Power output is delayed by 5+ seconds - Cadence is inaccurate and inconsistent
- My setup uses Zwift on a MacBook Pro, with sensors connected via the Zwift Companion app on my Samsung Galaxy S24

Everything worked perfectly before this update. I believe the previous firmware version was 0.0.38, which worked reliably for my use case.
I would kindly request that you help me downgrade the firmware back to that version or another stable release compatible with my setup.

  • Hi.  Potentially it only works for Neo 2T.  This is what I see: Note given I have already downgraded 2.6.0 appears as update.

    1.  Open tacx app and select Device Manager and connect to device.  

    2. In another window, I use Duck Browser, find the fulgaz page I linked and then click on the link:

    3. After you click on the link, the TACX APP reopens up at the connection Setup Screen.  (Note now says firmware update available in yellow.  It wants me to upgrade from 0.0.38 to 2.6.0)

    4. Click on firmware update:  You should be given option to update to 0.0.38 as per below.  (Next to Firmware update it now says 0.0.38 whereas in Point 1 it originally said 2.6.0.)

    5.  Note this now says "Your firmware 0.0.38" "Latest version 0.0.38".  If I had not of already downgraded it would have said "Your firmware 2.6.0" "Latest version 0.0.38"  Click update now

     

    If you do not see this then it is most likely the downgrade does not work for NEO 2.  Hope this helps.

    Unless Step 3 everything works. i contacted Garmin Support they send a different link to me. I press now in Firmware update as in pic 3 and picture in your #4 look different to me there is no update available and on #5 it is as i send before.

     

    i will bother garmin again.

  • I really have the feeling here, that this downgrade runs only on IPhone... and the Google Store App is not working. 

  • Ok I tested this on android Using the Google App Store app. I found if you are In  the connection setup (3) or set up Tacx neo (4) screen that pressing the https://tacx.page.link? Didn’t appear to work.  I then connected and back arrowed to the main Tacx app (dashboard) screen.   I then pressed the https://tacx.page.link? And the 0.0.38 downgrade software appeared.   So it runs on android too.  Give it a try.  

  • That solution works for me! I bought an USB dongle (USB 6.0) and an ANT+ dongle. Now the connection to the Neo 2T works perfectly, Zwift Play also works fine and the heartrate monitor is connected via Ant+ (just 5 Bluetooth connections possible with the USB dongle). Maybe the Bluetooth version of my computer is too old?

  • Does not work, the link always goes to connection tab. If I disconnect, turn off Bluetooth and switch off trainer and other way round it shows as yesterday the available firmware in connection tab but it leads to nowhere. 

    I chatted with Garmin 5+hrs and they would like to send me a discount on buying a new trainer... Great job.
