Vivoactive 4 Battery Drain

Since the recent software update to 5.6 my battery lasts for less than 4 days. it was initially atleast 6 days. I do not have any app/fancy watch face. I mostly use Garmin for steps tracking and heart rate. I dont know what in recent update is causing this battery drain. it seems to be getting worse. is anyone else facing this issue?

    can you please help with my battery issue? This has only happened since 5.80 - the issue has been confirmed by a developer of a watch face.

    When I tap my screen (gesture) it goes into HighPowerMode and does not come out of it, so it does not return to LowPowerMode. This means the screen is updating every 1 second which drains the battery very quickly. 

    Turning on and off does nothing. Have you heard about this issue with it being stuck in “high power mode” before?

    When you say this has been confirmed by a developer are you referring to a watch face from them that you are using?

    My battery drained 50% overnight each night since 4 days. During the day the drain is low (normal). Please fix the problem

    Got the same Problem since 5.80 - Battery drain over Night over 50% - that´s 10 times faster than before - Please Garmin fix this soon.

    Hi .

    I mean that the developer of a watch face has confirmed what the issue is, however it's something Garmin needs to fix. Please see their post here:

    I am seeing 1.5-2% drain per hour with the watch doing very little. I have a stock face with HR enabled & nothing else. with 5.60 it was nearer 0.5-1% per hour so whilst it has almost doubled it is nowhere near the figures others are seeing. Still not ideal though. Faster drain = more regular charge and leads to the watch ending up being not fit for purpose if it can't be worn consistently. 

    Fact is. I didn't have an issue with 5.60 & now I do and no gain from the software whatsoever..

    Can someone at Garmin respond with suggestions please ? I've tried restart & reset but no change.
