  • Not just killing battery. Third party watch face using a lot of CPU. Usage is slow and watch is sometimes in not responding mode totally.

  • Fixed a possible battery drain with Bluetooth

This patched fixed my bluetooth battery drain!

I can confirm it - thanks a lot!

  • The bluetooth connection to my phone has dropped out twice over the last 24 hours since installing this update. My Vivoactive 4 won't reconnect to the phone until I restart my phone. Has anyone else experienced this?

  • During activity it drops out and reconnects to my phone simultaneously. At least my hand is getting nice massage from vibration feedback. Slight smile

Also after update it took multiple times to make sync between a device and phone to get it work.

  • I see that as well. Can only access the first 2 appointments. Please fix :)

  • Weather will not display on Vivosmart 4! Please fix (have already tried unpair/repair, turn on/off bluetooth, restart, garmin express, location always on).

  • Wondering if Garmin will ever add the ability to recognize naps.  Fitbits do it.

  • My battery issue is still alive and kicking. I am lucky if I get 3 days using no gps, no WiFi, no music, pulse ox off... I have done several “deep resets”, a full system reset to factory settings, with no difference. I am so frustrated.

  • At this point, you might consider taking it back if you can.  It should perform better than that.  It sounds like you have tried everything.  Otherwise, maybe just turn on what you want to use and accept that it is going to have to be charged frequently.  At least you will have the features you want, just not the battery life. (And hope for an update that fixes the problem)

  • maybe my story will help you somehowe. I had very decent battery life (5-6 days with normal usage, without cutting down the functionality) since I bought va4 in october until I decided (don't ask me why) to factory reset the watch after the update to 4.00. After that the battery was terrible, 2-3 days max. The wiedest thing was I had set it up exactly the same as previously.

So I figured out I need to set it up again, but this time everything from scratch. So I facotry reset the watch again AND uninstalled IQ and Connect apps from my phone. Then I installed them again, paired the watch set it all again. And since then I am having same decent battery life.

I don't know if the whole procedure was necessary - but it worked in my case.
