Got a X after reading from second user. Wifi sync does not work

I just received my BPM in Germany. Installation, wifi connection and connection to my Connect account worked fine.

 Reading sync with account just fine.

 Invited second user and accepted user invite in her account in the app

Reading - with bpm set to her Nick worked fine, but ended with X.

Software is 1.06

 Bluetooth connection to second device/account failed but that’s a feature to my understanding?

Is software 1.07 available in Germany?

 Do I really need to reset the device for update?

  • I've had no response at all from Garmin Support, so I may just challenge the credit card charge unless they contact me to arrange a return.

  • Garmin releases a product that doesn't work, they obviously know about the problem, but nothing happens for 2-3 weeks. I would have expected at least some statement from Garmin, but nothing. Here on the forum, no comments from Garmin representatives either. Just nothing, silence. It doesn't seem very fair to customers who have already purchased the product.

  • The reset did not initiate an update for me. The software version stayed 1.06 and the problem stayed the same. Wifi does not work. Not for user one nor the second user. Uploading for the first user only works when the phone with active bluetooth is near. Sadly that way can only work for user one. The second users upload is not possible via Bluetooth. Therefore Wifi is an essential feature without this device is pretty much useless for the second user. We did send it back. Money back was no option with the company we bought from once the packaging was opened. We could only request a functioning or repaired device. I am now curious to see what we get on the second delivery.

    Can confirm that it works with my device (also still 1.06) here in Austria now too.
    Tested both successfully: Synch for main account with with bluetooth deactivated on mobile phone and synch for secondary account.
    Nevertheless, the big "X" is still shown on the device display, even though the value gets synched.

  • Per yesterday the issue was resolved using firmware 1.06. Root cause seems to be server side, not device

  • Yes, took 7 months to fix the server side!!! But...
    The X still remains and the FW update does not work, so still some work to do.

    The X is now current for all users and after syncronization. So new errors.

  • Doesn't the X indicate upload via WLAN failed? could it be that it uploads now for all users why the main bluetooth device? (As I sent my device back, I can not test anymore right now).
