In order to support shifting systems with multiple batteries, we updated shifting system battery status fields to graphically represent the component and status. This change applied to all fields to maintain…
Agree with what’s being said here , the new battery level icon is a backwards step.
The actual percentage figure was great and to change it with this latest update is just daft and obviously programmed…
I used "di2 battery" for my E-bike with steps e8000, is horrible to loos the % value
i hope it will come back, i dont wont buy a "ew-en100"
agreeing with ic3cold, bring back %
Such an unwanted change. I dislike graphics for battery life. Even on my phone I set it up to show the number %. It is way more precise. Why was this change done? WI’ll the Garmin battery indicator itself no long show a % in the future? How can the % be restored??
What’s the long answer?? How can this be put back on Garmin’s backlog to give us the option to show %’s? I’m very disappointed in this change. Like I don’t want this upgrade solely because of it.
Having say that, with old FW, % only showed variations by 10% so a graph or that, there is not so much difference.
Icon is too small to see, even when only 2 fields displayed on screen. Can't imagine it's too hard to at least make an option to choose numeric or icon.
the new icon does not have 10 levels shown , possibly only 5 so the new icon is only accurate to 20%.
That is a reduction in features , plenty of difference.
I called Garmin and left feedback, this is what I got in return
Thank you for your email.
I am afraid that this is now currently by design and the ability to see the battery percentage is no longer available.
If we have enough reports then there is a chance this will get reverted but there is no guarentees.
Kind regards,

The least Garmin could do is expose Di2 battery in the ConnectIQ API. Then 3rd parties could make the displays that users want since Garmin is reluctant to do so.
BTW Garmin - there is no guaranty that I'll ever buy another Garmin product.

The actual percentage figure was great and to change it with this latest update is just daft and obviously programmed by someone who doesn’t have Di2.
Garmin can you revert to the previous display please ? You’ve broken a feature that was really useful.
