Garmin connect has changed to Chinese on my Edge 1040 does anyone know how to get it back to English

I still have this issue with 26.12. I confirmed it was installed, I reset/rebooted. Still same issue.

Mine is now resolved and displays English for my Edge 1040. Edge is on 26.12 and Garmin Connect is 5.9.0.38 on iOS 18.3

Almost exactly my experience. Changing to German got rid of the Chinese, but changing back to English returned the device screen in Connect to Chinese. It's Simplified (mainland) Chinese, according to my partner, not Traditional (Taiwan).

Hi,

Have you tried to remove the edge from garmin connect, unpair it from the phone and then add it again? For me this fixed this problem a couple beta versions ago.

mine after install the beta software the 1040 landing page are back to English. Mine on iOS 18.2.1 and Garmin connect version 5.9.1.1, I’m not sure the iOS and Connect app version are required but the beta software does makes it work. On Android device I’m not sure because I notice ur photo urs Android Phone. Maybe require to remove and add the 1040 back to Garmin connect app.
