If you are experiencing this with sensors and Edge on version 16.13, please reply in this thread:
We understand the frustration this experience is causing you all and we do apologize for this. We are actively working to address this as quickly as possible, and sincerely appreciate all of the folks…
I have provided 500mb of ant logs and pointed out where the issue has occurred in all the logs via email/garmin file uploader and this forum. It is 100% reproducible.
It is about time this MAJOR issue…
Same Here :-( third update in a row wich doesnt work with sensors
Same observation here, yesterday my Edge 1040 (fw 16.13) did not find any Sensor on my bike. After restarting the Edge it found all sensors automatically when starting the acitivity.
Unfortunately another problem I experienced about a year ago is back now. This concerns the AXS Powermeter. It connects automatically at the start of the activity, but after about 1 minutes it stops updating. The sensor still shows as connect in the Edge sensor menu and unconnecting/ reconnecting does solve the problem. The connection will then be stable for the rest of the activity. It just seems to happen at the start of an activity. Sensor is PM-DZ-A1 with fw 10 (latest).
Hi peterlip8_, try going to the list of sensors on the edge, select the Vector 3, and select remove. Then go back to the list of sensors > add new > power (make sure you are spinning the pedals while doing this)
Ha. Great minds think a like. I only just saw your message, but I did that this morning, and the Vector 3 was found. The subsequent ride was a success in that Vector 3, HRM, Speed, Cadence, Di2 & Radar were all working through to the end of the ride.
- inpeak power crank
- yes
- for now tested stationary
- unpairded device, restarted Edge
After 16.13. update sensors won't connect after Garmin goes to sleep. I tried to manually connect, still no luck. After a full shutdown in lieu of sleep the sensors paired immediately.
Oh, and lap screen only shows latest lap with some garbled text at the bottom. 3 photos. Warped lap screen, sensor disconnect and sensor connect (other than the HRM)
The lap page issue Garmin has a ticket on. Leaving and coming back to the page will fix it.
I tried that and it still only showed one lap. The only difference was that the garbled text at the bottom was absent.
Yes. You can turn off and turn on Garmin while in a ride. Just stop the activity (red border) and then hold POWER button and turn it off.
After turning it on, your activity will continue where it was left (no, you will not lose it nor have that finished or erased)
I had an issue today too. Edge 1040 solar awakened from sleep connected to sensors fine started ride. 1 minute in all sensors dropped and would not reconnect. Had to stop ride, turn off edge, then after turning back on would reconnect.
Ride type indoors free ride
Sensors - tacx neo 2t, hrm pro, power2max pm, di2
Noting though same sensors connected via Bluetooth to an iPad using trainerroad and all stayed connected on the iPad when dropped from the edge 1040 solar
Same issue two rides now tested since the update to 16.13. As I start the ride all sensors are paired - Garmin HRM, Vector 3 and Varia and Di2. Within seconds of starting they all drop off and cannot manually be found to pair. It requires a full power off and on of the unit after which it finds them instantly and continues fine. Put the unit into Standby at a cafe and go to leave and continue the ride and the same process all over again.
16.13 has NOT fixed the issue. This was working perfectly until 16.11 - come on Garmin we dont pay this kind of money to beta your firmware updates!
