16.13 Sensor issue Garmin Edge 1040 Solar still present

Not an answer but may be a temporary workaround? After a bit of playing about it seems that if I load a route before pressing start on the ride, the dropouts occurs about 5-6minutes into the ride. I tried pressing start on the unit and then loading the course to navigate and experienced no dropouts and this includes after pausing the device at a cafe.

Scratch that - just tried to repeat it and got a full disconnect. Back to the drawing board...

It all really look like random for me. I can ride weeks without issue and suddenly happening. 

Former Member what is the time frame for a fix for this issue, either in the beta releases or official releases?

I can only power off the garmin when stopped (power button locks the buttons while in motion). So I resume a ride, sensors not picked up after sleep, have to physically stop to restart my garmin for it to pick the sensors. Its a critical issue.

Also leads to the question, what testing do Garmin do for their releases - especially for bug fixes??

I have a Orbea Rise and was using the 1040 Solar with the Orbea RS apo to show the state of the battery, range, mode and all the other parameters provided. This was working great when I got the 1040 solar. 

After upgrading the firmware the connections is lost every few seconds. All the firmware upgrades till the latest 16.13 didnt solve the problem.
The connection works for a few seconds and then gets lost, comes back.. gets lost.

My information:
- Garmin Edge 1040 Solar
- Orbea Rise.(ANT+)
- from Germany

had three "breakdowns" during the last days, all connections lost for several minutes
(different Di2s, HR pro, Varia radar, Germany)

No, this bug exists in 17.09 too. All my sensors(vector3/speed/cadence/hr and varia515) disapear  few seconds after start  of my ride today. Power on/off of 1040 solved issue.
