Anybody know anything on when a new Flagship Edge is coming out?
Anybody know anything on when a new Flagship Edge is coming out?
This is a Garmin forum. JW asked a question about the 1040, either answer the question or keep out. This is not a Hammerhead or Apple forum, respect that!
I don't mean to be rude, but is there any way you guys can stop arguing about this already? Normally I wouldn't care in a forum. I can just scroll past all the bickering and pointless personal attacks…
Like also the time to destination problem not solved since more than one year…
I reported that 8 months ago and can't believe it hasn't been resolved yet :-(
Then there's the 3D Mapping where the route disappears, auto sleep not working, poor varia vision integration, mad VO2 / FTP updates, the list goes on :-(
Is this a consistent stat? Because my 1000 always seems to be a little higher. By the way, does the Edge actually measure ambient temperature with some sort of internal electronic thermometer, or is this relayed to the unit via data?
What do you think
You have both, so you can check by widget and measured temperature from sensor,
That's what I thought was the case. Because when I swipe down on my 1000, I get the weather from the bottom, with all the stats, like wind, rain, and temp, which is obviously coming from my phone. I'm not sure, I don't think I have a weather widget, but the last time I downloaded an app off Garmin's site to my Edge was years ago, so I have always assumed that info was coming from my phone, but maybe it is a widget. lol
I was referring to the temp in the editable field, which I wasn't sure whether it was coming from an actual built-in temperature sensor or was coming from some GPS or data info apart from my phone's weather apps.
The native temperature display is from an internal temperature probe.
Any display from the Garmin weather widget is the forecast for your local region and sent via Garmin Connect mobile, as is the AccuWeather minutecast IQ data (which since May is now available for the 1030 Plus) :-) The MinuteCast gives a much more local weather overview.
I always found my Edge 1000 to be VERY accurate in regard to temperature when compared to a lab digital thermometer :-)
