Based on the recent YT unboxing videos, I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed unless there are some new features that aren't obvious from them.

I am planning to upgrade from a 520+ and am just waiting to see a review from DCR or similar to decide whether the 1040 will be justifiable over the discounted 1030+. So far it seems like USB-C and a little more battery life are the main changes...

Even normal1030 is spaceship comparing with 520+

Still there are dozens of things that we don't know, procesor, how is behaving on course , rerouting etc

What are you thinking specifically people will be disappointed in? Also, can anyone say what they are actually looking forward to in terms of confirmed features? I only have an Edge 1000, and I really want to upgrade at this point. My sense is that it may be more worth the upgrade to go from an 8xx or a 1000 to a 1040 perhaps than it would be to go from a 1030 or 1030+ to a 1040?

Did they say when they would be available? , i.e are they already in the stores, just not on display, or will it be weeks before they ship?
