  • RE: Venu 2 run distance and all other data is inconsistent.

Do you still experience the issue?

I've bought my Venu 2 a couple of days ago and noticed similar problem. My running activity time, pulse and steps have been recorded properly but the total distance have been recorded only for the first 2km (out of 6km…

So if you leave off your HRM-Run then you don't get cadence indoors or outdoors? If so then there must be something wrong with the device.

Probably worth just powering off and on again to see that it makes any difference. Would be easy to tell with…

    1) Understand that the watch only knows about what it can detect on your wrist.  It may or may not sense anything your feet are doing.  A classic example is using a hiking pole or pushing a shopping cart - your steps will probably be undercounted as the…

It would be rather large only if you do mountaineering on extremely steep terrain.

Fenix is already far more inaccurate on trails because it uses some sort of distance smoothing algorithm. For my typical trail run Fenix distance is typically 3-5% shorter…

I ran 14.5 mi and I kept moving until it hit 14.51 to save it and when it saved it saved at 14.46,

It's done it before on shorter runs it sucks when you're trying to get one of the badges and your 02 short on the distance.

I used my 945 in the pool for the first time today - just heart rate and time - no laps or pace.

I have contacted Garmin in Australia. They have provided trouble shooting as follows:

Thank you for contacting Garmin Australasia, in regards to our previous…

    Hi all,

I received the Vivosmart 5 via mail days ago, and on day 3 it stopped tracking distance during runs and walks (those are the only two timed activities I've done that involve traversing distance).

It either says "0.0km" for distance and one time…

One of my races from last weekend shows a 6.7mi run, but the course was listed as 6.55. That's normal

    I usually trend long too…

I'm getting odd straight line sections with my 6X Pro. I'm under an open sky with data recording set to 'every second' and I've tried [GPS + GLONASS] as well as [GPS + Galileo}. I haven't found a cure. It happens when I'm moving very slowly and may persist…

I have always assumed that a wheel sensor is going to be more accurate than GPS.  This is probably more true while mountain biking, which involves a lot of twists, turns and short ups and downs, much of it under tree cover, that probably don't get picked…
