I got the Sapphire version. I also purchased an after-market orange silicone band from Amazon (the band is from "Notocity").

Did you find out if there is a Garmin that does not have this very annoying feature. I don't like having to fiddle with buttons during a race start (or any other time!) when the main screen disappears because of the starting messages. I ride on my heart…
