HRM Pro

HRM Pro will no longer connect to my iPhone. Anyone else having the same problem?

  • Ok so I thought I fixed the problem by updating my iPhone, but it’s not fixed. When my HRM pro is added to my device list, the heart rate monitor will not transmit any HR information to Zwift or Wahoo. Also when it’s added as a device, there’s a red exclamation point with the message “Sync Failed.” However when I remove the HRM pro as a device from Garmin Connect and "Forget this Device” in my phone settings, the HR monitor suddenly sends HR information to Zwift and Wahoo, but like I said it’s no longer on my device list. Any suggestions on how to sort this out?

  • take out the battery and leave it out for ten minutes and re-pair it. Make sure the battery is good also.

  • Good morning and thanks for the response! To be honest I’m a bit hesitant to try and change the battery because of complaints about how changing the battery ruins the HRM, but I’m willing to try that as a last resort option. However before doing that I have two questions: 1. Whenever I complete an activity the battery status bar is solid green and it says “ok.” Why say that it’s ok if it’s not? Shouldn’t a $130 HRM be a bit more precise in this regard? 2. Why broadcast heart rate data to my watch and other apps if this is a battery issue? I’ve changed the battery to my Suunto HRM many times. Usually I know the battery is dying by either not connecting at all or constant (long) drop outs during an activity. Other than that the Suunto HRM works without issue…when the battery is new. Sure the HRM pro loses its signal every once in a while, but it’s nothing crazy. So again why broadcast any info if the battery is on its way out?

  • That worked! However I’m still curious about the whole battery status thing????
