Pace Graph is not a smooth graph

Thanks, Trux!  Will give that a try too.  Only I probably would never need to use indoor mode.  I hate treadmills and my indoor erg machine tracks distance.  thanks again!

As I explained, the indoor mode is used at outdoor activities automatically, in the moments the GPS signal is not accurate enough..

And that’s where I say this is crap if that’s the case.

Today I forgot my instinct 2. So this is the data from my 910xt. Regardless of my HRM Pro setting. Looks fine to me. 

I m having same issue with my instinc first series. 

@5041308 graph with 910xt seems smooth only in the second half.

I try to resume all you wrote and to understand what to do with my Instinct + HRMPRO.

It is clear thart HRMPRO must have INDOOR setting. Or even disabled. In the latter case, in my opinion, I would imagine that I wouldn't get a smoother graph because Instinct has no GYRO and the watch is under a not symmetrical activity (right vs left arm). I assume that the use of GPS contribution is the same in both case. How GPS works has been explained many times by @Trux.

I must admit that something is not clear. Why some graphs of @5041308 are smoother than others. I have friends with the other watches like fenix and HRMPRO and their graphs are fine, much smoother then mine.

What to try now? 

1) Disabling HRMPRO for speed and distance extimation forcing the use Accelerometer only of watch. Or

2) Hard reset and new calibration on SUP activity of the HRMPRO and than disabling the Autocalibration.

As I wrote, try recording a SUP workout as Cycling. On my mind a different algorithm is being used for the pace estimation based on the activity type, so have a look how the pace curve looks like when recorded as Cycling. If you find it satisfactory, you can contact Garmin and request that the algorithm is used at SUP too.

I thought about recalibrating but decided to just disable HRMPRO asTiza2206 suggested.  All is good now!
