Battery Drain Issues with Fenix 7 Series on v9.33 Software

Anyone else seeing the battery drain much faster? I am dropping about 8% per day in smartwatch mode with no GPS usage at all, minimal backlight, no pulse ox, no flashlight usage and no third party apps installed. I did do a hard restart right after the upgrade to v9.33.

Where is the "Up to 28 days typical use" !! :(

Any explainment for this?

That is correct - firmware downgrade results in all settings getting reset to factory. (I believe data like recorded activities, music, maps, etc should remain though)

99% of these reports come from people who post new threads about battery drain before rebooting their watch.

Which is silly. Garmin is pushing update, update reboots the watch. Why do user needs to reboot, actually turn it off, wait a bit and turn it on? Not a big deal, just grumbling

Yeah, I'd think so. But my watch was part of the massive Fenix 6 drain that could not be fixed with a reboot. well, looks like I can't upgrade to ANY firmware via garmin Express anyway. And I don't want to do it via the watch

Well, I want to see which firmware update I get before installing it. I don't want automatic updates anyway. I travel a lot, and the idea of getting an update while traveling abroad and losing all my mobile data would not be fun.

It sounds like you may have rolled back to v7.24. If you continue to have the fast battery drain on the old software, you watch is most likely experiencing a lithium-ion battery issue.

So Chris we are a lot having this issue battery drain on 9.33, a lot of battery problems ? not software ?

Exactly, I think it is battery issue. The watch is still under warranty. What should I do?
