Sapphire vs non-sapphire reflections

My girlfriends 6s has a decent antireflective coating, so its display is much clearer and easier to read than e.g. a Fenix 6x Pro that hasnˋt. Therefore I sent back the 6x Pro and kept my FR945.

You can tell by a light blueish tint of the reflected light. People that wear glasses know what I mean.

I definitely would, also I like MIP more for visibility during sport outside! I own a Venu 2s too! But unfortunately no 42mm Epix and 47mm is too big for my 6inch wrist! I had a Fenix 6 before too, sold it! 

The reflections on the fenix 7 in this side by side comparison on androidauthority look very bad:

I planned to buy the fenix 7 but now I will wait till I can see it in real life somewhere. I which they would offer a version with Gorilla glass DX and multi channel GPS.

The watches are in different angle with different watchface...

Fenix 6X Sapphire vs Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar

Here is a Fenix 6X Sapphire compared to a Fenix 7X Sapphire from the same angle reflecting a Garmin box with turned off display. I don't see too much difference between the two glasses.

I agree. There might not be a big difference between Fenix 6 sapphire and Fenix 7 sapphire. The photo from androidauthority shows a Gorilla Glass Fenix 6. That's the reason for the difference.

@Earlybird83: Yes the sapphire glass is definitely more reflective than the gorilla glass.

F7X screen looks clearly worse than F6X on these photos.

I just received my 7X sapphire a few minutes ago.

My first impression is that it does NOT seem worse than the Fenix 6 sapphire. It is perfectly readable indoors without backlight, and reflections seem the same as they were on the 6.

My experience so far, after playing with it for a few minutes, makes me feel like a lot of the reports about the 7 sapphire being terrible are greatly exaggerated. Just my opinion.

Thanks.  I can see how its a bit worse then my watch (935 so glass) but doesn't seem like the scren is that bad.  Thinking of the use case when out hiking near dark or low light at home or office but still don't want to use the backlight.  Especially quick glance views where I don't really want to move my arm to look straight into the watch screen.  I currently only use the backlight when I would need extra light to read something printed on paper.
