Engineering has a pretty solid idea of when updates are arriving. With the Fenix 6 series having been in release 4+ years…
I never understand why people expect more functionality from a device than it initially shipped with.
However having been a Garmin user for several decades I do wish Garmin would focus all their attention…
If you look in the beta forums there's a post by "Garmin Chris" that states development for the F6 hasn't stopped.
That said, I'd expect nothing further but minimal updates/patches/fixes…

(Now let's sit back and brace ourselves for the screaming replies from people that all bought their F6 on super discount sale in the last 12 months, shouting about why isn't it getting anymore updates they just bought it this isn't fair OMG Garmin you're terrible etc etc)

when in August he said that for the end of August or the beginning of September.
This means that they have no idea when they will release something, maybe in a week or more likely in a month or two.
They laugh at us, because it is a watch that even in the store still costs around €400 on average, Garmin's way of acting is a shame.

Engineering has a pretty solid idea of when updates are arriving. With the Fenix 6 series having been in release 4+ years, the software updates will be arriving slower when compared to the past but there will still be new updates and the next one is being worked on now and will be released as soon as possible.
"The Fenix 6 series new Beta update just released.
They write that this release can be side-loaded. So I guess this means that everyone, even people with devices NOT enrolled in the Public Beta program can try this by side-loading it, right ?
