When following a course using your smart trainer with the Indoor Bike activity profile, does your resistance work properly with the elevation changes?

It seems that Garmin has dropped Fenix 6X support.
We (Garmin) have not dropped Fenix 6 series software support. After 4 years of continuous updates, dozens of new features added, etc. The…
It's more than 3 years for the public in my opinion...
You must quickly fix bugs and refine certain functions while listening to your customers.
It's not normal for those who have a $1,500 F6 Pro Solar…
This is still not fixed.

I upgraded to the v26.86 Beta firmware and gradient related resistance control when following a course is still not fixed.
After that I had also asked Garmin-Laurie who confirmed that it was still not fixed, socorsu
2278247, I checked my old activities and saw that 25.1 was the last working firmware. So I rolled back to that (you can find the file and description somewhere in the forum) and deactivated the automated update since (and do not plan to update unless this is fixed). I would recommend you to rollback to that older firmware.
Rolling back was recommended to me also, but you lose all the other fixes and improvements and the ability to load any map updates.
It is more than disappointing that this still isn't fixed.
Сan you write a complete rollback algorithm for 25.1

Pascal:
This feature was broken very early on in the 26.00 Firmware Beta phase. Certainly by the 25.78 Beta, released in early April 2023, which was the last I tried this feature on before the public release of 26.00.
I never tried any of the later betas because my f6X was afflicted with the stuck at Loading Maps screen after the 25.81 Beta update and I had to be factory reset and clear data thereby loosing the trainer setup.
The next time I tried, out of curiosity mostly as I assumed it would have been fixed, was with 26.82 Beta when this Bug Report appeared in the Public Beta 26.XX forum posted 2023-12-01:
This is the only report on the Public Beta 26.XX forum and there are no reports on the Public Beta 25.XX forum that I can find.
The following thread on the production forum is the only one that I am aware of that directly addresses this issue there:
This lack of reports, and small number of contributors to these reports, is what led me to speculate in the above thread that this was a little used feature.
Thanks again, Scillonian
Has there been any new watch firmware that would have fixed the issue? For me that was a key selling point of the watch back then. I don't know why it was an on-off-issue with firmware updates, Garmin-Chris
Is there any way to install an connect IQ app without the latest firmware? I got a core Sensor and would like to install the connect IQ app etc for it. But I would definitely want to avoid the following:
- update watch firmware
- install app
- rollback firmware
Garmin-Jim, was the bug fixed that the resistance is not correctly set when doing a "Bike Indoor" activity acc. to the grade profile as part of the update to 28.02?
Doubt it. Not even sure if they acknowledged it was a bug.
