Constant bluetooth disconnection on Android 14 Beta

Not for me so far with Pixel 7 Pro running Android 14 QPR1 Beta1 (U1B1.230908.003).

Have you tried a reset of Bluetooth on the Pixel? (Settings > System > Reset Options > Reset Bluetooth and Wi-Fi)

No joy unfortunately. It seems to hold connection ok when the watch is in range of the phone, but whenever it goes out of range and then comes back in, it goes through the whole reconnection process.

For the Connect app do you have battery usage set to Unrestricted? (Settings > Apps > See All n Apps > Connect > App Battery Usage)

Unrestricted should rule out the OS disrupting the connection to save battery.

Yeah it's set to unrestricted. Maybe it's telling me it's time to upgrade to the Fenix 7/Epix 2...

To be fair this is the first one I've encountered in a while. Appreciate it's a risk I'm taking though, was just trying to see if anyone else had the issue

When the watch comes back in range of the phone, is the Connect app behaving as though the watch has never been connected to it before? Or is the connection prompt coming from Android?

There do seem to be some Bluetooth connection issues that some users experience with the f6 series that don't affect other Garmin devices connected to the same phone.

The f6X I have periodically refuses, for no apparent reason that I discover, to sync over Bluetooth. (Wi-Fi works fine so not a server or corrupt data issue.) The f6X shows as connected and the BLE data updates (steps, real time heart rate, etc) but syncing accrued data and activities does not happen, even when manually initiated. Meanwhile the f5+ and Forerunner 735XT connected to the same phone sync normally.

I can usually get my f6X to start syncing again by force stopping the Connect app (Settings > Apps > See All n Apps > Connect > Force Stop) and clearing the cache (Settings > Apps > See All n Apps > Connect > Storage and Cache > Clear Cache). When I open the Connect app my f6X syncs normally again.

That's what I get when the watch comes back into range of the phone. When I tap it it asks for the long code that appears on the watch, then reconnects, until I go out of range again

Seems like I'm alone with this issue so might be worth doing a reset of the watch and reinstalling Connect.

You're not alone. This behaviour has been reported before. It is one of those that pops up occasionally such as:

It is from two years ago though.

What firmware version is your f6X running? My f6X is running 26.00 (c7a16d5).
