Wearing garmin watches for years, bought the fenix 6 in October 2022 and in last six months have got a bad skin burn/rash.
I have increased my swimming time to 10hrs a week but I have never had any skin issues in my life before this.

I have the same rash, many do. I think it's the resin case they put over the HR sensor. There really isn't a fix for this other than Garmin not cheaping out on build design and putting a glass case on the back sensor. For me it got worse with heat / sweat / high intensity workouts. You can email Garmin and they will tell you to wash the watch often for a week, for me that didn't work at all. Good luck!
