how to transfer settings from old fenix to new fenix

I purchased a new fenix 6 and I want to transfer all the sport settings (screens particularly) and ideally transfer all that I can on the new watch. pretty much like I do on my apple products every time I buy a new one.

it's a good article but I cannot manage to get the fenix visualized as an external drive. I've tried different ways and eventually gave up on that path. So I downloaded and installed Garmin Express, it sees my device, but there's no way I can use if to back up settings in order to install it on a new watch.

It all seems very complicated while what I'm trying to do is basically copy a few configuration files from one device to another. Any help, please?

Unfortunately it is not easy to transfer settings from one watch to another even if it’s from the same model of watch. I generally would not recommend it anyway as problems can also be transferred. Far better to configure the watch from scratch as then you get the opportunity to work through all the settings and see what’s there and what you might have missed.
