Did a few tests today, mixed results but consistent results.
In my previous round after updating f/w to 23.02, my GF6XPS detected autoshot distances flawlessly. After round, I exited the Golf app.
Same issue. No shot detection at all since this version was released. 1 of 2 primary reasons for buying this watch over competitors. How does something like this get through testing!? It's completely broke…
Yesterdays round on some occasions the golf shot distance wasnt displayed. I noticed it happened only when a golfshot wasnt recorded or when I forgot to enter the number of putts and penalties.
You need to enrol and it’s delivered.

So worked yesterday and i played today but didnt to a reset today so no shot tracking till i restarted mis round
Fenix 6 Pro golfer here. Autoshot with distance tracking broke upon 23.0. 10 days ago they had me perform a "hard reset" ugh, and it fixed the issue for a round or two. My last 2 rounds the autoshot didn't work upon starting the round. I power cycled the watch on the 2nd hole and autoshot started working again. I wish they'd do a better job regression testing--- autoshot has worked flawless for me over the last 70 rounds the last 2 seasons until 23.0.
Today I contacted support to open a bug report. They said they are aware and will notify me when there is a fix.
I have the Fenix 6 Pro too. I have to start a round and hard reset the watch to get shot tracking. My annoyance is it also keeps asking which club I used. This is fine but the Garmin club range is stuck in the dark ages. No hybrids, no 5 wood and no selection of varying degree wedges.
I was able to turn off club prompts and still have autoshot working. But again only after I start a round, confirm autoshot is NOT working and then end round. Simple power cycle off/on and then start round of golf again making sure it's on the proper hole. It's a pita--- till they fix it I may start the watch on the range and confirm if autoshot is working or not so I can have it working on the #1 tee box.
With regard to club range, you should be able to update your equipment list on a computer at "connect.garmin.com" and then go to the "Gear" section and change out your clubs.
