Fenix 6 Can't update TopoActive Europe Version 2021.20

Tried all people suggested here, removing, reinstalling express, pretty much everything - and nothing works .
Only after full reinstall Express & full wipe Fenix 6 i was able to install few maps - but it crushes on Topo Europe ;(

I ended up with Support team - and they were not able yet to find solution.
I have different maps on Watch, Different maps on Express & Different maps to be updated on Express
Receiving replacement of watch meant to fix my battery issue - i ended up spending my time on solving yet another issue (as battery in Bike mode is still crap - 5% per 30 minutes no matter whihc settings & sensors)

Sent all files and waiting for Garmin to get back to me.

European maps are quite big. Are you sure you have enough space on your computer? I think you will need around 15gb on your computer's main hard drive. 

I was surprised that this was mentioned in many posts & documentations & and also by Spport team. - that means people not aware of that to begin with - it was clear to me that you need space for update - but this is clearly some issue with refrub watch rather than anything else.
Thanks for checking that - i do have enought space on both Watch & PC.

I've had this before once. But I cannot remember if it was my fenix 6 Pro or my FR945. If I remember correctly the Problem was on the Garmin side and as soon as they fixed it the download worked for me (and others with the same problem).

Of course, it might be something completely different in your case.

Map updates were always wonky for me, somehow. Right now, for example, Garmin Express wants to download TopoActive Europe 2019.10 on my FR945, even though I have 2021.20 on it.

BTW, did you remove the watch from Garmin Connect (Mobile) only or Garmin Express too?

OT but somehow related: why hasn't there been any map update (yet) this year...?

I guess Pandemic - and nothing changed in the world (no new roads so no update ? ) :D

My issue might be on Gamin side - as i see different maps in different places. Waiting for Gaming to get back to me.

I am also waiting for the 2022.10 update. Topoactive were the maps that Garmin did somehow correctly, with updates twice a year (Garmin Connect and Garmin Explore have ridiculously outdated maps). Now it seems like they want to save some more $ and are not updating Topoactive maps anymore, or at least not as frequent. 

I even contacted Garmin support (Germany) on the topic. Their answer: We don't know when the next update will come. 

Sorry for continuing OT, I tend to get somehow emotional on outdated maps  

Maybe switch to OpenStreetMap that will cure the problem
