  • My music stops when selecting trail run activity (or clone) and the music control data page isn't visible.

Is that only in my configuration?

I usually go to music in main menu, connect headphones and then go to Spotify, start and back out to watchface.

After that open activity meny, select activity and start.

When I select Trail run activity, music just stops and my music control page do not show up when scrolling through the pages. If I go back and select another activity type, for instance Run, I can scroll to music control and start the music again. If I then go back to trail it stops again. My head phones do not disconnect.

I've not used music in trail run for maybe a month, so I can't say that it's this beta.

I see that I have a music control page in trail run if I go via main menu, Activities and apps and configure trail run.

  • Issue manually entering elevation data when manually calibrating barometer.

After manually entering the elevation to manually calibrate the barometer it is not possible to progress beyond the check mark to accept the manual input.

    Steps I took:

    • Entered from the ABC widget
    • Manually calibrated Altimeter by entering 9m
    • Selected to calibrate Barometer
    • Selected Enter Manually to input elevation.

Could not move on from the check mark by pressing top right to accept elevation. Bottom right only goes back to the start of the elevation input. Eventually it times out and returns to the watch face.

  • Confirmes on my 6 pro updated to 19.78

  • Same here, one work around is to use GPS for Elevation and not enter it manually and that seems to work

  • The music is probably disabled in the Power Manager's profile.

  • Altimeter fail.....

Last night before going up to bed I deliberately set the altimeter to +1,000m to see how it adjusted overnight. This morning the altimeter showed -47m.

Correct altitude for the watch is presently +47m, with ground level and DEM at +43m. I don't know what possessed the watch to start digging a hole last night.

There is also an empty history graph.

  • Altimeter is back to its broken overnight ways again it seems. Went to bed with the altitude showing approximately the correct figure, woken up this morning and it's climbed 40m overnight.

I'm not really sure what has prompted the change in these betas, was it completely broken in the release firmware also? (can't say I ever noticed)

  • 19.20 for me is stable. Battery drain is almost non-existent and altimeter just works. But these latest beta's are a crock of sh*t. I too see good altimeter behaviour until around 0300hrs when I go from the correct 113m to 304m (the same value every time). I don't get why I rise in altitude but others descend. I just don't see why I should have to recalibrate every morning on waking.

I appreciate a beta is precisely that, but the idea is to improve not to break. So I've tried these latest betas and always revert to 19.20. Garmin devs.... if you've half an ounce of intelligence you'd find a fix for this. Add fewer features and concentrate on improving what's already there.

  • While its frustrating I think its a bit harsh to suggest the devs have no intelligence, clearly there's been some large changes made around altitude and we'll have to assume its for a good reason as Garmin don't tend to make changes without cause.

If it wasn't for the new tennis tracking activities (my primary sport) I'd probably have reverted back to the 19.20 release also, but in fairness outside of the altimeter bug I've barely had any issues with mine on the betas.
