HIIT workouts only compatible with venu 2.. really??

I tried sending HIIT workouts to my Fenix 6X sapphire, but it shows incompatible. I did some research and found this:

Is this for real?? Garmin support, you ported the activity profile to the fenix series, but left out the ability to send workouts for that activity profile from connect app?? If this is the case, that would be, for lack of a better word, moronic.

Why did you create an activity profile and not have the watch compatible with said activity profile workouts in the app?? Am I missing something? Is there a workaround? Or is this really as dumb as it seems?

  • There's also a possibility that just after the beta firmware was launched, they found a bug in the GC side and pulled it to fix it.

But again, it's a BETA. BETA are by design for test, with broken/nonfunctional parts.

  • Why would you add an activity type in a firmware update, beta or otherwise, if that activity type isn't compatible with the watch in Garmin connect, with no possibility for a workaround?? I'm not gonna call it anything but literally insane.

And far as I understand, the activity on the watch worked fine. It was downloading workouts that was temporarily broken.

If you don't want to cope with beta's, dont install them. Simple

They probably released it with this beta so it's already available on the watch so when Connect is ready to go, they don't have to release it separately.  You say it's no deal breaker, yet you keep going on about it.

Yep - and it was at worst 48 hours.....  Spot the person who didn't have a Garmin during THAT june :)
