Bluetooth connection issues - yet again

I am getting truly tired of endless bluetooth connectivity issues with my Fenix 6 Pro. Sometimes a software update resolves them, but there is always a recurrence. After a few weeks of all being OK I am back, since latest update, to the watch refusing to link up to my phone whatever I do (and of course I have done all the usual things ad infinitum). Why is this ?? Surely by now this issue should have been resolved for good. I connect many devices to my phone, some old, some newer, some Apple, some not. They connect  ALL THE TIME. I do not have to spend ages fiddling in an attempt to get the thing to connect. For goodness sake, Garmin get your act together on this

  • I could be wrong, but based on similar experiences with wear os users and iPhones, I think the iPhone does the same thing - i.e. kill the connectivity app in the background. I think you need to check the app settings etc and do something similar along the lines of what we do with android.

    Otherwise I really think the people to discuss with is Garmin connect app/potentially iPhone. Don't think its an issue with hardware but more of a software/settings issue.

  • With my S21 Ultra I have constant bluetooth dropouts when I'm connected to home WIFI and try to sync...it loses connection every 5-10s. If I turn off wifi on mobile, everything is OK. I noticed this bug maybe 2-3 weeks ago and I'll do some more research and modem restart etc... I have also checked that every possible thing tied to GCM is allowed on my phone, unpaired/paired blueetooth etc... interesting Slight smile

  • I have also dropouts with my Oneplus 8 and Garmin 6x pro.

  • My fenix 6 ain't smart watch anymore! although done everything what I was told to from our country dealer, watch is not displaying incoming calls, e mails etc. 

    I have above mentioned alerst already on my fenix3+ for five years and exactly one year on fenix6. Now It's all gone!

  • Same for me with Fenix 6 Pro and iPhone. No issue with older Garmin watches, and my wife 735 sync is instantaneous, while on mine it's erratic at best (it has never been as fast as my wife one anyway). Tried to reset watch, delete old activities, repair, etc ... without success. Considering now changing to Suunto as I am getting tired of this and lack of consideration

  • Have had the same issues for weeks. I did this yesterday and no connection issues or delays so far.  I’m IOS - go to Connect settings and set location to ‘Always’, turn phone and watch off/on. Hope this helps. 

  • I completely recocnize this topic Anno 2025... on my Fenix 6s, using Android. 3 times did a factory reset (which is hugely annoying as I sport different sports, so need to reset all settings and watch views again). Still disconnects, every night now. 

    I'm able to reconnect, but i'm so tired of having to do this, with the numbe code EVERY DAY! Annoying!! 

    I guess you guys already bought new watches, hahaha. has there been a solution for this???

  • so every other device can connect to the iPhone, but the Garmin it’s not an iPhone problem, pal that’s a Garmin problem
