  • It's a bit difficult to guess as I don't know the decimals, but with only an extermal HR sensor I'd get drains of about twice then length. Thus go on a 1h length run, lose 2 hours of exercise. Cycle 5 hours without sensors, music, etc, and the watch is half empty.

  • Is GPS over counting miles for anyone else on this version? Cause it's showing me that I walked .1-.15 miles more than I actually did on a walk that is normally a 1.1 miles long.

  • Got myself a Fenix 6S Pro again. Installed this beta and so far working well besides two problems.

When going into activities screen, animation is soooooo slow. Very slow. You can really trail the animation, it is this slow. And then it always shows my third activity in the list to choose from, walking. Not the first in the list like it normally should. I haven't even used walking yet and using the first activity in the screen doesn't make it difference. List still starts with the third activity to choose from. IU have to go up to the first activity which doesn't make sense to me.

And widgets are always resetting to default out of the box when syncing the watch via Garmin Connect iOS app.

    Anyone else experiencing this problem?

  • Regarding your activity list for me is always the last activity what I used is the first one and it's makes sense.

  • Not here though. I used an activity to test and it still starts again with the third position. I even changed the order and every time it starts with the activity on third position. No matter which it is and no matter what I used before. Your post indeed makes sense but that is not the case here.

Esp the widgets reset drives me nuts. I reseted the 6s Pro and deleted the Connect app and will see if it solves the issue.

Edit: After the app deleting and full reset of the F6sPro at least the bug with activities is gone for the moment. Have to test further...

  • Power drain is back with a vengeance for me since going to this beta from previous 15.71b - 24% consumed in 2 hour period, one hour of which was spent running about 7 miles

Power at 6AM UK time this morning, pre-run

Power at 8AM UK time this morning, post-run

  • I just realised, and maybe also in 17.72, that the single line path title bug has been fixed.

I now get two lines of text for longer names, which in my case in most of them. One less reason to use Garmin Explore which is totally broken for me.

  • Anybody else seeing (newly introduced with 17.73) oHR reading anomalies during daily wear?  (Not during activities)

Eg stuck on the same HR value for an extended time, abnormally high at times, etc.?  (Not presented previously)

    Thanks

  • GPS precision with FW 5.30

I just checked an Hike I did with 17.73 yesterday and a similar one I did with 16.70 (older GPS firmware).

Even though run tracks seems to be improved, especially on urban roads with building on each sides, the track recorded in dense forest, with pretty much identical weather and climate, is definitely worse. Similar on rural roads with visible sky, much worse on some segments of dense cover tree.

Luckily my inReach and iPhone work just fine, so in the end the watch is more a quick glance to choose the correct route when in doubt.
