Is it possible to transfer the maps which come with Fenix 6 Pro to a Mac or to Basecamp?

Is it possible to transfer the maps which come with Fenix 6 Pro to a Mac or to Basecamp? I would like to plan with these maps on my laptop.

When I connect the Fenix to the Mac I can see the maps in Basecamp, but it is far too slow to use them remotely.

1) Yeah - it's a MTP device so you have to use Android File Transfer.

AFT can be fiddly sometimes - to copy a file, rather than drag it on a folder icon in AFT, double click the folder to open it and then drag and drop the file onto the window.

2) Create a GARMIN directory on the SD card and copy the maps there - then start Basecamp. BC expects to see a Garmin Directory.

Here is a summary:

Mac Users:
- install Android File Transfer, connect via MTP mode

In order to use Fenix maps also on the Mac & Basecamp:
- create folder 'Garmin' on removable storage
- copy 'GarminDevice.Xml' from the Fenix (this identifies the Fenix)
- copy *.img maps into this folder
- Basecamp recognizes the maps (however not all in my case), close AFT before
