I am planning to buy a chest heart rate monitor and am thinking between:

Polar H10
I use Garmin Fenis 6 pro sapphire.
What are your recommendations and experiences?
Thanks

Have a look at the following comparison between Garmins own HR monitors:

The Polar H10 is, by feature, almost identical to the Garmin HRM-Dual. The only…
I started with an HRM-Dual, which worked great. No complaints. I ended up upgrading it to a HRM-Pro so that I could get Running Dynamics data from it (without having to wear an additional RD Pod) and for…
I think this is the HRM-RUN model that Eric.K is writing:

Polar H10. Supports ANT+ and 2 BT LE channels. Battery lasts around 1-1.5 years for me (and I use 5-7 days a week).
When the strap is too worn out (1.5 years as well) I simply get another one from Amazon for less than 30 euros. The H10 has served me well for years and still does.
I know, the second part of the sentence has some significance here: the user plans to always use it with a Fenix 6 so the BLE is not necessary. Also, as I explained, I prefer a RUN with RD ;)
If you decide to go with the HRM-RUN, consider getting the older model without the red rubber surround if you can find it. It's got a white running man on it and the strap design is similar (if not identical) to the HRM-DUAL.
Both HRM-RUN versions give the same metrics, but the newer version isn't removable from the strap, so when the strap wears out, you can't just replace it.
There have also been reports of moisture ingress and failure due to a flaw in design of the newer HRM-RUN. When my HRM-RUN (red version) died on me for that very reason, I replaced it with the older style and have not had any problems since.
Just my two cents. :-)

Yes I can confirm the PART NUMBER: 010-10997-08.
Manual available here and this is ant directory.
What about the Wahoo TickrX? Was considering it myself as
a) it's removable (I have a unified HRM run AND a separable one, and still feel nervous about the unified one)
b) it provides the running dynamics (sans GC balance apparently)
c) is ANT+ and BT
Yes! That definitely helps a lot in locating the model I'm referring to. A quick Google search showed a few sellers on the web with it in stock, but I won't post links as I know nothing about the stores in question as to trustworthiness. On eBay, there some new ones for sale as well (albeit from a seller in Israel).
All the best in whatever choice you decide to make.
I own multiple TickR and TickR X straps, some bought by me, some warranty replacements. I find they all work really well - until they don't.
What i mean by that is that with the factory battery they work solidly until that battery runs low. There is no battery level warning - you just start to get unreliable data. Once you understand the symptoms you can replace the battery, but from then on it seems that batteries drain fast. I've tried different brands of battery (including Panasonic), but it doesn't help. A fresh cell can be drained within 1-3 months, even when reading 3.2V out of the packet. These have all been first generation devices. Maybe the new ones are better.
In contrast my heroic Polar H7 (bought with my V800 in 2014) has never given me such trouble, although it is now very much in the "spares" pile.
I've been using an HRM-PRO since Xmas 2020. I've had one occasion with a crazy high heart rate reported for maybe a minute. My heart did feel very odd at the time, so who knows? But it has been rock solid otherwise. I particularly like the integration with the Garmin ecosystem and the display of battery level and firmware in the GCM app.
Personally, if you can afford it I'd go HRM-PRO for the features and Garmin integration. If you don't care so much about such things I doubt you'd go wrong with the newer TickR or Polar. I just feel a little burned by my Wahoo experience to date, but support has been excellent from the company. However, you can only keep plodding for so long with the same failures though, before you give up.
Thanks mate. It's always good to hear real world experience.
I've not had an issue with my fixed-strap HRM run but I am aware that when I do, it's game over. My seperable HRMRun had stripped screws so I replaced the back cover with one from a broken HRMDual someone gave me so I don't think it has a good a seal as before - it can be tempermental,,,,
I would really like to hear someone else’s opinion and experience regarding the Garmin HRM-RUN but an older version (Garmin HRM-Run Code: 010-10997-08) with a detachable sensor. If someone uses it, let them write their experience.
