Fenix 6 Pro CPE Expired Takes 15-20 mins for GPS signal Firmware version 15.20

In the past to resolved i big outgae relevant to CPE file (Coros, Garmin, etc.) i need put my watch outside, select an activity (run for example) and wait for 20 mn for the file to be updated.

The CPE file is always up to date for only a few days. 

This is not an issue.

I have tried that. I placed watch in my garden - selected Run - waited 15 mins for a signal and started activity. I let the activity run for 30 minutes and saved it.

The content was still expired.

It is an issue.

The GPS signal takes 15 minutes every time I want to do an activity. 

Even if I do one activity with GPS - it takes the same amount of time the next time.

So it is the very definition of an issue.

Have you restarted your watch recently? I had similar problems but after 2 restarts of the watch it started working again.

That your GPS takes so long to find a signal is certainly an issue. But that the CPE file expires after a few days is definitely NOT an issue. This is the database that tells the watch where the satellites are located. And since they are not constantly in one place, the CPE is only valid for a few days. This is the case with every gps receiver.

What can you do ? Which GPS firmware version is on your watch ?
The CPE file is usually updated when you sync the watch with the Connect app on your phone. When the watch is done syncing, leave the app and Bluetooth connection open for about 10 minutes. After that CPE should be up to date again.

Assuming this works for you, and CPE is "current" again, it's still perfectly normal for the file to expire again after a week if you don't sync regularly.

THAT the file is only valid for a few days is NOT an issue.

I have Garmin Connect App running on my phone (Android 11) at all times - and it's syncing throughout the whole day

But the CPE still expires every few days.

If its set to Current at the moment, and I am syncing all day - then why does it Expire?

GPS Version is ?

My GPS is listed as: 5.00
