  • I dont focus on hrv sync any longer, but I maintain my opinion: if wifi sync ends in failed sync msg, there is a high chance that CPE.bin will be expired. I observed that even if there is a sequence of some syncs failed and later some syncs with sync complete msg, the failed sync messages must have been those syncs when CPE.bin had to be updated.

So my solution is to use the hatred GE in those cases, when CPE.bin is shown as expired.

  • HRV still doesn't sync via WiFi on my Fenix 6s Pro

The workaround to sync HRV is with either the Connect Mobile APP or using Garmin Express on a computer.

  • Thanks Chris and no worries. Love to hear about any updates.

  • Garmin-Chris, i must say i feel sorry for you. Staying in the first line, trying to defend the more or less useless software developers at Garmin. 4-5 weeks ago i made a dessision, i had a full factory reset of my 6 pro, and went with the ver 24.00.

Is it perfect ? No. But when Garmin keep on changing algorithms and other things without a word to the customers, it's better for me to have consistsency readings even if they are not correct. That way i can at least se a trend in the metrics.

I dont know what they did to the HRV, but before they changed it it would go to the left towards red when i had a bad night . Last night i not slept well, and my average HRV was 47, but now its going to the right side of the bar, making me think that what they did is copying some of the apps out there with symphatetic on one side and parasymphatetic on the other side of the bar, but with the usual lack of information, it's hard to tell.

By the way, the HRV sync over wifi work well on ver. 24.00.

P.S i still wait for a clear answer about the sovtware in the Forerunner 955 , is it split in Apac and ROW , or is it the same software now ?

The lady who emailed me and "was happy to assist with that " seem to have given up the question.

  • I appreciate your kind words. The issues that accidentally develop with a software update are nuanced and can be incredibly difficult for engineering to track down.

Regarding your Forerunner 955 question, I spoke with our Fitness Running team that support the FR955 and they stated a new software release is worldwide vs. the example of ROW vs. APAC for the Fenix 6 series.

  • Thank you very much for the answer .

  • I've been testing v.25 software for three days. Every day, the watch synchronizes correctly via WI-FI, also HRV and activities (bluetooth is turned off for testing). CPE is current. Garmin Fenix 6X sapphire. BTW after updating the firmware to v25, I did a soft reset, removed the WIFI network and added it again. For me it works.

  • I started to get sync failed again on 25.10. Anyone else or just me?

  • Beta Version 25.85 - Side Load Only

    Reported. Unfortunately still a mistake

  • 25.91 The repair was fine. Version 26.00 report an error :D
