F6 Spring bar options?

Has anyone found an alternative spring bar that has the stock Garmin large diameter ends with a smaller diameter tube section?
Or at least one with a much better lug/pin fit than a typical spring bar would offer?

I have several bands I'd like to use with my F6, most notable is the excellent Luminox carbon link bracelet,  problem is the fatter Garmin pin won't fit through the hole in the end link.
I could use a normal size spring bar, but I don't trust them fitting sloppily in the Garmin's composite lugs.

I'm trying to get away from the Quickfit ends, they don't wrap over my wrist bone very well, if it did I'd probably just get the vented Ti DLC bracelet and move on... so I need a better pin option, or to locate a standard-link carbon or DLC coated Ti option with Garmin's large spring bar holes.

Any ideas?

  • I have received Garmin's 22mm Spring Bars from a Russian part seller.

Very serious business with a tracking envelop. Not the cheapest but at least they are the genuine "big heads" springbars I was looking for my Fenix 6.

It has taken one month (I have bought them the 10th of March) and they have arrived in France the 8th of April.

Here is the link on ebay:

I also use FAT Seiko 22mm springbars (the opposite you are looking for) and normal 22mm bar provided with any band.
The better the band fit the less play you got even with smaller heads/ends of the springbars.
I have mounted a Seiko diver band and the thickness of it creates a zero play. So the smaller ends are not really an issue.

Also the Instinct Springbars are easy to slide into any band but I won't recommend them as they got no notch/collar to be removed easily.

  • Yes, I like the Luminox Carbon Link bracelets a lot - they wear and conform like metal but are far lighter, don't hold heat, don't show scratches, don't stretch or crack like rubber/silicon, don't really wear out pins and holes like metal does and become sloppy, and its plenty strong with a decent PVD coated stamped double locking clasp.

I thought about getting the DLC Vented Ti from Garmin.. but its $250, much heavier, and will scuff-n-scratch more noticeably.
DLC is hard, but Ti is not.. and DLC is not a thick protective coating.

If you have the skill, tools, and patience I highly recommend drilling it for the fat Garmin bar, if not, don't.. you'll flush $100 real quick.

The matte finish texture/sheen differences in the photo is not visible in person, seems to be more of a camera/reflection thing.
