Just Received my Watch and found out that it's unable to detect my location in open sky. I checked the system version and found out the the GPS v. is (0.00) which means there is no software for GPS. Can anybody help?

It's important that you place the GPS file directly in the folder \GARMIN\REMOTESW\
Don't place the folder "GPS_v500", but the file "006B310701.GCD" directly into "\GARMIN\REMOTESW…
Good point; I didn’t read carefully enough, thought he was still on 15.20.
OP, if you use the rollback software in the beta download to take it back to 15.20, then try the webupdater, it could work…
Download Garmin Express, and connect the Garmin Fenix 6x to the computer. Install all updates.

It you don't want the beta. The lates stable version is also included. (15.20)
Also an easy prosess is to fallow only step 1, 4 and 6.

I did the all the steps accurately. However the after the update, the GPS is still (0.00)
Did you try to install the latest stable version as well? (15.20)
This was the original version that came with the watch. It seems that It doesn't pull the GPS Software setup file for some reason.
I would recommend following b1ue3AGLE's instructions above, and try to reinstall 15.20. if that doesn't work, you may have to consider contacting Garmin with a warranty claim.
Power off your device and connect it with Express again and sync. After this go outside and start an activity with gps like hike. Sometimes that has helped.
I followed b1ue3AGLE's instructions, but with no luck. I already contacted Garmin, and they said they would replace it. But the problem is that I shipped it internationally away from US. Now I have to reverse the whole process, will cost time and money. That's why I'm looking for a solution in the community.
Oh ok, so if you've already tried reverting to 15.20, and nothing else seems to be working, I guess you're stuck with a warranty claim.

Last resort, try downloading WebUpdater to reinstall the software on your watch, sometimes that works
I downloaded it, connected the watch, and it see that there isn't any update to the watch software. Should I do any step before connecting to the updater?
