  • Not very, just satisfied as I wrote Grin:-). Even if WHR will be good, I'll still be using H10 because I want best accuracy. GPS is is sometimes excellent, sometimes not so good, but I always get same distance on 8,5km run... There are more important things in life to me.

  • I agree with you. I use GPS so I know where I went and get a good sense of the distance I travelled, so I can navigate, and find where I am. Slight innacuracies does now affect any of that. I use WHR so I know how hard I worked and get a palatable training measurement. That my HR be off by a few beats here and there does not change that. All those fitness measures derived from HR are based on approximations anyway - training effect, fatigue, etc, this is all ball park measures based on some physiology science. The fenix6 give me a good picture. The inaccuracies are just not relevant and people are way too hung up on them. If you think these inaccuracies are consequential and negatively impact your training, you really need to think about it again.

  • Agree 100%. Strange to see how people defend Garmin . When it come to software they are i a own division, useless.

  • Garmin please can you sort out the surfing app as it just does not work. I am not the only one asking for this! I find the lack of communication regarding this matter very unprofessional. Furthermore the information that is transferred to Surfline is not the same. I paid good money for an advertised surf watch which is currently useless. If you agree with my post please like it then Garmin will understand i am not the only one with this issue. Common on Garmin any update would be greatly appreciated by the Garmin surf community

  • This firmware fixed the battery draning issue that began in last September? The watch battery only lasts 2 days in fenix 6X saphire

Because most people don't have unrealistic expectations and their watches are working fine for them. Strange to see how some people can't understand that.

Case in point. My Fenix 6X sapphire does not have that problem.

  • Good for you. Does not help people who suffer from this. Maybe it’s unrealistic in your opinion that a watch in that price range will work as announced, or at least near. Maybe you are happy with being a beta tester for Garmin. I am not.

Just a question: since you are posting on the beta 15.71 beta thread, I presume you use the beta. Why would you do so if you do not want to be a beta tester?

If you have a problem with the watch on the official version, don't hesitate to contact garmin support. Posting here won't help to solve your problem in that case.

Just in case: did you do a complete reset of the watch (if needed including removing left over fit files (sync before start) and maps you put on the watch etc. Test before putting any other software on the watch. If you do run the beta and the problem still occurs, make sure to mail your findings in a polite manner to the beta team with the contents of the debug folder attached to your mail. (They will only contact you back if they have questions most of the time).

Funniest thing I've read in all 16 pages of this "Public Beta" thread...

  • Actually, i do not. Not this time , i have decided to stay at public ver.13.10 , despite it also have it’s bugs. Been on most of the public realeses and beta’s, i am tired of it. My resting heart rate is still 30 according to the watch (reported several times, both beta’s and public) Stress doesn’t start meassurement after a workout before i manually start a breathing exercise. ( reported too). Been like this for about a year. So i gave up, use it «as is». And yes, i have always done a reset, i tried both soft and hard ( factory reset).
And i am aware of posting here don’t help, either do reporting by mail .
