  • You guys are hilarious. Half of the people here complain that any software updates are necessary, because they think everything should work perfectly out of the box. The other half complain because it's been two weeks since the latest software update, so the software team must have given up on the Fenix 6.

Maybe they just have a ton of different stuff to work on and it gets done as it gets done.

  • WHR has always worked fine for me. Even almost as accurate as the HR chest strap /using Polar H10/. In my opinion, this is not a global issue.

  • You are correct. I do not think it affects everybody. a year ago i tried two 6S and the wohr was awful in day to day wear, not starting an activity. a month ago i got a 6 Pro and did the same test i had done with the 6S and this one works as good as the chest strap. I also had a 245 before that and it worked too. So this does not affect everybody but the symptom does exist as i saw it.

  • Good for you. but that WHR works for you that doesnt mean that there is no problem.

For me GPS works just fine, but i dont tell others(which gps doesn't work for them) that there is no problem or that they must shut up or something eles and i dont emphasize that GPS works. This forum is for telling the problesm and finding solutions but not for telling other people that they dont have a problem that theri problem is just imaginary. That is just wrong and evil.

And Garmin software team must have prioritis and priority must be watch we paid most for it. In every company if you pay premium you get premium service. It is so in my country.

  • Did You try strength training with WHR vs. H10? I'm satisfied with my F6Pro but I have to use H10 because I get very bad data from WHR. While running it will be much better I think, but in strength training is absolutely useless. Orange is H10.

  • I agree. like i said i tried two 6S and i had issues. I have a friend that bought in 6 Pro when it came out and he always told me he had no problem. I do not know why some have issues and some do not when the hardware should be the same. With the two 6S, i would climb the stairs up and down. The chest strap would show more than 100 bpm while the watch was stuck at 80. Now my new 6 Pro matches the strap. No idea why,

  • you are very satisfied with your F6Pro, but you get bad WHR?? Strange. Are you guys paid to tell this or something else. Or you satisfied with just anything? This is the reason we are here, no critical thinking and no require of any improvements, you are staisfied with anything. So companies like Garmin can sold us half baked products for premium price.

  • Everybody is different, so a watch that works perfect for one person might give complete nonsense on other people. That's just nature. Garmin and all other companies try to make it work right for as many people as possible, but they can't achieve 100%. For that reason one type of watch/brand might work good and the fenix 6 might not work as you might expect.

Also people like to wear the watch differently, some like it quite loose, others quite snug. When there is not much room for movement measurement tends to be better. I know some people wear their watch with the screen on the inside of their wrist, which seems to help with certain people. From what I understand wearing the watch halfway on the forearm also works better for some people.

  • I am using it for running, hiking, and cycling, no strength training.

I am only saying that it is not a global issue, not that you don't have a problem.

And yes - everybody is different and unique. It is very likely for the watch to behave differently /of course if there is no hardware issue/.

  • That is an incorrect statement as i tried two 6S a year ago and the ohr was very bad. Now i got a 6 Pro and it is perfect. Same person, doing the same test waring it the same way.
