Can someone tell me what the following 'Tempo' run data represents when displayed on Fenix 6?

Hello,

I recently posted on what I thought was a display bug in the Garmin Suggested Daily Workout 'Tempo' activity feature.

I managed to take some photographs of the display today (during a 73m treadmill tempo run) showing this issue… and now that I see it I'm not so sure sure it actually is a bug!

However, if it's not a bug I have no idea what this information actually represents. Can someone please enlighten me?

I initially though my F6 was displaying the BPM for each (145 BMP AVG) 8 minute segment of the tempo workout. However, now that I've studied the photographs this doesn't appear to make any sense.

Aside from the large gap that appears to indicate a numeral is missing, the screen doesn't say BPM, it shows 'BP'. Also, the number at the bottom (which I initially thought was time) varies for each x5 145 BPM segment (in this case: 1.05, 1.11, 1.12, 1.14 and 1.24). I now realise if the large number is supposed to be BPM then why show the lower (time?) data at all? Like everyone else, I already know that 'PM = per minute. If this is avg BPM then not only is is stating the obvious, but the lower number should always be 1m (60 seconds). However, it's this variance that's making me think this is a legitimate metric.

EDIT: Sorry, (and I should have checked this before posting), I've just compared those numbers lower in the F6 display (1.05, 1.11, 1.12, 1.14 and 1.24) with the tempo run activity breakdown in Garmin connect. These are Dist(ance)/Km per each tempo segment at 145 BPM AVG. I'm now a little bit wiser. However, this brings me full circle… what does '14' and 'BP' represent?

Yes, I'm confused! Wink

I contacted Garmin about this (as mentioned in my previous post) and they asked me to submit photographs along with a bug report. I'd like to know if this actually is a bug before spending hours copying the 10Gb+ Garmin folder via USB cable only to be told by Garmin that this is a legitimate metric for tempo running.

Thanks for any help and/or advice.
