Upon turning on my Fenix 6 pro for the first time it is automatically on a firmware download screen. It reaches 50% and then freezes. I have soft reset it to no avail. Any help?

Opened my new Fenix out of the box and upon turning it on it automatically starts a firmware download. The download reaches 50% and stops, I have no been able to use the watch yet.

Have you tried plug it to the computer while turned off? Maybe the battery is very low, and it makes the watch turn off and is not completing the processes.

Yes its been plugged up all day. It jumps to the 50% mark within a minute or so and then stops. I've let it sit for hours with no luck.

Power down.

Power on then immediately press and hold top right and bottom right buttons.
Release top right on first beep.
Release bottom right on second beep.
Before you do anything else, connect to a computer and Garmin Express. Register the watch then try to sync and update there.

If you still cannot get it to work then take it back from whence it came and get a replacement or reach out to Garmin Support.

FWIW, I've never had a problem with any new Garmin watch out of the box. There haven't been many posts in the forums over the years either so you are probably one of the unlucky ones.

connect to computer by cable and Garmin Express.
