weather widget not updating current weather status hourly

Weather update on Garmin devices never worked as it should.

I had before Vivoactive HR, Vivosmart  3 and 4, now Fenix 6X Sapphire.

On all devices the weather widget update was a real nightmare.

Nothing works as it should.

I guess is a badly projected or implemented idea.

Same problem here with a F6 sapphire. The weather updates randomly, most of the times it takes hours to update but if I start an activity to get GPS signal, then I sync Garmin connect, most of the times the weather updates. However on my Polar Grit X the weather widget works flawless. I regret I bought also the F6, I should have stayed with the Grit X that at 1/2 the cost it has a much better GPS. The F6 it’s great on paper, looks nice, it’s well built, but doesn’t do well anything of what it promises. 

I am accused here on the forums that I am a "drama queen" if I say that for a 1K USD witch this is not what should be.

Of course you are a drama queen. After your bad experiences with Vivoactive HR, Vivosmart  3 and 4 you bought a  Fenix 6X Sapphire and keep on permanently complaining/whining. Maybe you should see that you and garmin do not go together and try your hand at other manufacturers...

It is 1015. My latest weather update was 0653 this morning. My updates are typically 3-4 hours behind which is unhelpful.

I assure you this is the last watch from Garmin.

Too many flaws and super expensive spare parts and do not mention the fact that in our country we have no service and after the warranty expire is good to be trowed in trash if anything happens.

In know it's an old issue and for most of you it's solved, but for me it's back again 1 week ago and I don't know hot to manage it. I haven't do nothing to the watch or phone, suddenly no working anymore "weather widget"

Widget shows "Waiting for Data". I'm on Android / Fenix 6 Sapphire/ v.15.20 / GPS 5.00

I have checked / do the following:

- Delete watch and repaired / connected to the phone through the Garmin Connect App

- Smartphone Location Services are turned on / Always on setting to the app to use location / Permission to location on GC - allowed

- Smartphone Bluetooth setting is turned on / paired with watch - Status Connected, Try to disconnect then connect - ok

- Restart watch/phone

- Update Garmin Connect App to the newest version

- Start outdoor activity, GPS signal ok / BT ON

Still no results

Calendar and notifications work fine, weather not. What I haven't do it's "Restore Defaults " in System but I don't want to do this to reset all things.

Is the a way to make weather widget to work again ?

I haven‘t used the weather widget for a long time as it did not work properly ever and i thought I‘ll gibe it a try again, but it is still simply useless. I setup everything, get the weatherupdate, everything is fine. My watch shows 14 degrees, I leave my phone upstairs, got to the cellar, watch looses phone connection, I go back upstairs, my watch reconnects to phone and shows 32 degrees as current weather temperature.

It is simply useless that way, if it does not work reliable, I don‘t need it.......I still do not understand, why such things always cause problems with Garmin devices and it does never get really fixed. It might have todo with the phone providing wrong information, but why shall this happen. The phone location is correct all the time....
