Somehow I have lost HR data for indoor trainer activities. Anyone know how I can get it back? It doesn't show on the watch face, and it's totally missing from the record on Garmin Connect.

hi,
me myself and I ? care to read the posts posted before yours
at the moment you are not alone with the wrist hr not working

Thanks for that. Looks like I didn't search on the right terms. So I guess that's two features that Garmin can take away (1: OHR doesn't work for Indoor Trainer activity 2: forum search could use some help).
but you have to give them this ... they are good in hide and seek

11.75 has sorted this issue.
Same here - v.frustrating as this was a key reason for buying the watch. I can't see a fix for this.

Unpair the Indoor Trainer or use a strap for HR. For some inexplicable reason Garmin has decided that WHR is no longer required if the watch is used for trainer control.
In any case, I'd use a strap always, on the bike, because gripping or leaning on handlebars may well compromise WHR accuracy, just as with rowing or weight lifting, for example. It also lacks the precision to record breathing rate and perhaps more accurate stress and body battery decline - maybe.
Cheers fella, that worked! Bizarre that Garmin designed it that way, but all the stats for the ride are on Zwift, so no big deal not having them on the watch and my heart rate was still linking with Zwift, so all good. Thanks
Had the same problem yesterday when I connected the felix 6 pro to tacx flux s trainer. HR is broadcasted to Zwift, but not shown or recorded on the watch.
Disconnected the trainer and connected only the speed/cadence sensor from the trainer. now it all works fine. broadcasts the heart rate and records it with the indoor activity in Garmin!
I am guessing this is a bug that Garmin will soon fix (hopefully).
