Should I wait for fenix 7 or go with 6? Thx When it usually the new watch come out?

    I don't think the Garmin hack slowed anything down, it's unlikely that they pulled any R&D staff off of product design to deal with a website issue. Garmin is a big enough company that I doubt their product design team doubles as their IT team. But regardless, it was only a 2 week ordeal and they've had a lot of time since then to bounce back from it.

    But other than that, I absolutely agree that times are unpredictable right now - from covid, and the resulting worldwide supply chain issues, staffing issues (nobody wants to work, when they get paid more to collect unemployment benefits), and chip shortages. Those issues have no doubt affected Garmin the same as they've affected everyone else. I agree that Fenix 6 owners probably won't have any exciting new products to look forward to until the end of this year at the earliest, more likely probably next year.

    Last summer i decided to buy the 6x solar then somehow changed my mind bought coros pace 2 as a backup till the Fenix 7 comes out now one year later I'm still waiting and there is no even a rumors about 7.

    Today i saw Garmin put the 6 line on sale which is the sign of something new is on the way...

    Well that sounds about right because I just pulled the trigger on the Tactix Delta so with my luck we will probably see something new in July. I see Suunto released a new watch yesterday so something tells me Garmin wont be far behind.

    Nine months ago this thread was opened, do you really still want to wait for the 7? I can't imagine everything they've missed because of that long wait.

    I'll wait and i think they will announce the 7 as soon as August or September other wise they lose so many customers

    You mean Suunto 9 Peak? This watch is step back for Suunto, if they will continue releasing watch like that they will be gone in few year as a brand.

    Yeah I agree those who waited missed out but for that exact reason it now 9 months on so thought maybe potentially we closer to the release of the 7, but as everyone and you have replied looks like there is no rumours just yet. Guess we will see. I have ordered the Delta so guess i will see if I should have waited.

    yeah the Peak but you know brands when one brand launches something new no matter if it's bad or good product their competition is always looking to put out something them that is new on the market. I guess it depends on where Suunto places their new watch in their line up.

    By the way, i just got my Fenix 6 pro solar, with 0% instalments. Powerful tool that is also light on my wallet.

    When there is new release, hope that a lot of people will buy and test it, smooth out all the bugs. When the software is stable and hardware has no problem, only then i will consider to upgrade again. At least, i don’t want to be the people who buy the testing phase new release. xD

    I get what you said but  i can't spend over a thousand dollars on a smartwatch with two years old tech on it and knowing the new model right on the gate
