Wait for 7 and buy 6. When 7 comes out - 6 will (should) be out of beta testing and have somewhat stable software.
And 6 will be cheaper when 7 comes out.
Signs in general point to it still being a while before the Fenix 7 will be released, I have no insider information, just speculation, but hear me out:
1. Garmin released the Fenix 5, then a year later…
go for the 6

Well, my Wrist OHR has never worked well when running for me. I think I have a divot in my wrist- light escapes. I have to use a separate HR monitor. So- if they could figure out a way to fix that for me- it would be worth buying a new model. The new Apple watch replaced their whole HR sensor- maybe the new one is better?
however- all the other stuff you list is pretty good for me. the body battery is scary accurate. And- It's a hard marketing angle to say "here's are new model F7... it does all the stuff the F6 does... but better".
As a runner- I'm looking forward to having Track Mode and Workout suggestions come to our Fenix 6's this week. that should be fun.
the body battery is scary accurate
For me, body battery flat lines following strenuous exercise for up to an hour and sometimes more. This seems to coincide with an absence of stress data for the same period. Once stress measurement resumes so the body battery continues its decline.
On that basis alone I do not see how it can be deemed accurate. If stress cannot be measured then stress is wrong and so is body battery. That's two strikes.
Also, today, the rate of decline whilst resting in bed, having a bit of breakfast and browsing the web, was greater than when I was out and about, walking the dog. Should inactivity really be more stressful (or drain the body battery) faster than when lugging 90+kg around on mixed terrain including forest trails?
Now, I accept that this is the state of play today, but without question there is room for improvement. Also, while my own watch does perform quite well for the most part, you cannot ignore the problems being reported by others.
i would definitely wait, 1. HRM sensor not working correctly on F6x & F6s - my previos 935 and 645 were supergood with wrist HRM measure, so i dont buy this every person differ bsh** , 2. GPS signal is bad to worse, its not problem/unusual to have 200m difference between me and wife on 2km run/walk/hike 3 now i have issue with crazy battery draining after every workout, so i have to manualy restart it - nothig i would suggest from watches for over 1k USD - on top of it when i was trying to contact local Garmin office to give me at last one chest sensor for better price, they told me that they dont know about any HRM reading problem and as we all know, first step to fix something is to recognize problem, so i bought for both of us chest st. and thats about that - next time i will serioselly consider to follow Garmin products as i was before.
I've also have both (645 and F6pro). Exactly same results for HRM sensor with both. Works flawlessly here.
About the same results for GPS (some differences but minors ones. Maybe plus or minus 20m on a 15kms run, depends. Doesn't matter to me).
I have had no real problems with my F6x, and I bought it when it was first released. So for me, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the latest offering from Garmin, whether it's the F6 or the mythical F7.
As for what a F7 might have, my wishlist would include: wireless charging, improved OHR, improved GPS, higher resolution display, brighter display with less reflection, lighter, longer battery life. TBH, I don't need any of these things, and I probably wouldn't upgrade from my F6x for any of these things, but if I was buying a new watch, and the choice was a F6 without those things or a F7 with those things, then I would definitely go for the F7.
