Tactix Delta screen is blue without backlight

I own a Garmin watch.

It works well for me.

Some things annoy me.

I live with them if they're a consequence of design choices/physics

Voting down actual empirical evidence of this you have a special relationship with Garmin that’s why you keep appearing everywhere. It is not normal behaviour of someone who only uses watch for exercise! You are here from the sunrise to the sunset. It is not behaviour of ordinary user of watch. C’mon man nobody’s stupid

You can easily see the presence of AR coating at certain angles. A crystal with ARC will usually have a certain tint to it – these vary in color. Most commonly, it’s blue-ish. The problem is that you begun by saying it's because of the thickness of the crystal, then you said it's because of the AR coating. which one is it? the refractive index? or the AR coating?

Also, are you an engineer for Garmin that you say for fact that it's one of those problems? 

if not, how do you know these are the actual reasons? or are you just guessing because it matches the findings?

Same colour here on my Tactix Delta. I had to keep it at a very specific angel to see it. I would never hold my wrist like that to check the time since i look stupid lol

No, but I know enough physics to recognise the issue. It’s a refractive issue. All those factors tie on.

Polar : https://youtu.be/ZMOyNn-C7UI in fact, do a search on YouTube or Google. The combination of thin film AR coating, glass thickness and refraction make this common to many manufacturers. 

At shallow angles, the light bounces around inside the watch and the ar coating (which is typically blue) is amplified in colour. In backlighting, the light also suffers multiple internal reflections. In your case, you’re seeing a blue tine only from external light from certain angles.

So you just bought a very expensive car, a new one, and you got it with a BIG scratch on the door.

This doesn't effect the way you use the car. will you simply take it?

it's OK to you to buy a very expensive new car and get it damaged when the damage doesn't effect the way you use the car?
